Mise-En-Scene Ideas

It was important to think about the mise-en-scene before we filmed our short film. I have make a mind map to considerer what locations wold be suitable for filming and the reasoning behind this. I have also taken photos of some locations to help me think about lighting and space for filming.

*We have decided to film using more shots in the few locations we have but by changing the costumes that Rose is wearing it gives in impression of time moving on.

*We are also going to try and film on a variety of days, so on sunny days to give the impression of it being warm and summer like and on cooler and windy days, so this is another way to show the time progressing.

*We have considered using the Christmas time to show the years going by as we first see Carl proposing to Rose at Christmas and then them celebrating their anniversary years later.

*We also thought that by filming in the house where Rose and Carl celebrate their anniversary we also see that this is the same house where Carl is still living when he is older. This shows the audience that he hasn't gotten over her and doesn't want these memories to go away.
